Wintercamp 2026
Come and camp with River Valley Survival!
Have you ever wanted to camp in the WINTER? No, that doesn't make you crazy; at least not any crazier than us. Put on your long Johns, Dust off that heavy sleeping bag, and join Kevin from River Valley Survival and his friends for some cold-weather fun at WINTERCAMP 2026! During this fun-packed winter weekend camping adventure, we plan to showcase a few techniques that may help you out should you ever land in a severe weather emergency. Grab your gear and meet us at the Forest City Public Park, It's gonna be a blast!
Feb.20th-22nd - Forest City Illinois
Registration fee $50 includes camping on Friday and Saturday night all classes, demonstrations, and activities.

*The event site has access to outdoor restrooms and drinking water.
*This event will not be canceled due to the weather.
We will be preparing 2 pots of beef/chicken and noodles for the potluck on Saturday night. participation is voluntary, but we do appreciate you sharing whatever you can manage
There will be experienced cold-weather campers in attendance, we are happy to help you get your setup dialed in if you aren't sure how to proceed.
We will have an emergency warming area on standby for any unforeseen incidents.
Fires will be allowed at your individual camps, we only ask that you be safe and responsible.
You may process any dead wood on the premises to utilize at your fire' you may also responsibly source materials for any projects you'd like to work on. Firewood bundles may be available for purchase.
I will be there on Thursday, If you wish to camp Thursday night just shoot me an e-mail so I can know whom to expect. We will start things off at 1 pm on Friday and will be ready to strike camp by 1pm Sunday. The schedule will be loose and relaxed.
