Winter Survival — with River Valley Survival
Winter in the wild doesn’t forgive many mistakes, it demands skill, grit, and a clear head. This hands-on field class will put you in the elements and teach you the core survival skills every woodsman should know when the cold sets in.
We’ll cover the essentials:
Fire: Reliable ignition in snow, wind, and freezing temps
Shelter: Build and insulate a winter-ready survival shelter
Water: Safe collection and purification when everything’s frozen
Safety: Cold-weather hazards and staying alive in extreme conditions
Food: Basic winter foraging and primitive trapping fundamentals
Navigation: Simple, effective land nav to keep you on course
This isn’t a classroom lecture it is a 3 day immersive survival class. By the end of the Weekend, you’ll walk away with the confidence to handle yourself when the temperature drops and the woods get quiet. All graduates of this course will receive a certificate of completion, and a patch
