This is a one day training event with camping available on Saturday night.

Would you like to learn more about thriving in an outdoor setting using only limited gear and the natural materials found in the landscape around you? Well, this is the introduction to Bushcraft you have been waiting for! We will tackle these issues and many more in a laid back, family friendly basic skills adventure.. Come join us for an action-packed day of fun!

Shelter – Group natural debris shelter

Fire - Natural materials for fire making

Water- 3-tier filter, water boiling on a fire

Food- Primitive traps, minnow/fish traps, 4-pronged spear

Cordage making

Basket weaving

Knots and lashings

Using "garbage" as a resource.

We Will have several fun take-home projects and a challenge for a prize package worth approx. $100!

Adults (13 and over) $50 (Children under 12 are free. limit 2 per paid attendee) Includes camping, class, and take-home projects

We will stop at mid day for a quick lunch

We will be camping on site on Saturday night. We would love for you to join us.

Gear List-

Fixed Blade Knife (Full-Tang recommended)

Folding saw

fire kit including ferro-rod and lighter

headlamp or flashlight/lantern

50' paracord

100' bankline

3- large pieces of cloth. (Bandanas/Shemags/old t-shirts

metal tin (Altoids tin or similar)

3- 55 gallon drum liners

Single walled steel water bottle or steel pot for boiling

Your favorite bushcraft/ camping gear

Snacks, food, drinks, PERSONAL MEDICATION, Clothing, and footwear suitable for hiking, camping, and weather conditions.

We will have a camp latrine/wash station and potable water at camp and there is a shower and bathroom .25 mile drive from our site. There is a gas station, restaurant, and Dollar General/Wal Mart within a 15-minute drive of the camping location. We will break for a 30 minute lunch at mid day.
